I’ve never been a super confident person. I have always had major insecurities about my body and issues with how I look. I have always looked at other girls’ bodies and wanted what I saw. However, as I begin my workout journey and healthy eating lifestyle, I have learned that no matter what you look like, you will have insecurities. No matter, what you look like, you will look at other girls’ bodies and want what they have. That is unless you learn to be comfortable in your own skin. I am on a major journey to become comfortable with who I am and what I look like.
Yes, I have cellulite, stretch marks, fat, and rolls. However, this is who I am. I am spontaneous, caring, generous, and over all a pretty nice person. I believe that this is my worth, not what I look like. I have frizzy hair, stretch marks all down my thighs and hips, acne, rolls, and many more flaws but, this does not determine my happiness or worth. I can be happy without needing to be super skinny and have abs (if you are though, go you! We are all our own beings and deserved to be celebrated at every stage we are at). I believe in being your best, HEALTHIEST self. Now I have definitely not been the healthiest person in the past, but as I said I am starting my own journey on becoming the healthier version of myself. Healthy eating and working out is so beneficial to our bodies as it improves both our physical bodies and our minds as well. As someone who has depression and anxiety, I am always on the hunt for something that will improve my mental health. So, this is my new adventure on gaining both confidence and a better mental state.
I decided that since I am so insecure, I would step out of my comfort zone and show off my stretch marks, big thighs, and the rest of my insecurities. My friend and I headed down to the beach and took some swimsuit shots. I hope my post can help you become more confident and willing to put yourself out there. Whether that is to eat healthier and strive to be the you that you’ve always wanted to be (remember we are looking to be healthier not necessarily skinnier) or to post pictures of yourself looking bomb on social media. If you decide to do so make sure you tag me @myruggedoutlook so I can see!
